Authorities find car belonging to apparent murder victim in Needham

NEEDHAM — Authorities have recovered the car belonging to an 81-year-old woman who was apparently murdered in her apartment in a quiet public housing development.

State Police tweeted around 1:40 p.m. that authorities have located the red 2011 Ford Fiesta belonging to Laura Shifrina. No details on how law enforcement located the Fiesta are currently available. The car was brought back to the Needham Police department.

The car was discovered in mid-afternoon in the 1800 block of Dorchester Avenue, according to Boston police.
