‘My heart is heavy today’: Local rapper BIA, who performed at doomed British concert
The Massachusetts-based rapper BIA, who opened for Ariana Grande at a concert in Manchester, England Monday night, said she is grieving after an explosion at the show killed 22 people and injured 59.
BIA was not available for an interview on Tuesday, but through a spokesperson, she issued the following statement:
“My heart is heavy today as I extend my prayers to the children and families affected by last night’s horrible tragedy in Manchester. We are sending our love to all of Manchester during this incredibly difficult time. We ask each one of you to join us in keeping all who are suffering in your thoughts and prayers.”
