Patriots’ Day started off with a reenactment of the Battle of Lexington

A crowd gathered in Lexington Monday morning to watch a historic reenactment of the Battle of Lexington in honor of Patriots’ Day.

The annual holiday commemorates the opening battle of the American Revolutionary War, which took place on April 19, 1775.
