Police are searching for the suspect of a Saturday night carjacking, in which a man drove off with a woman’s car while she was filling it with gas at the Circle K Mobil station in Tewksbury.
Surveillance video from the scene shows the woman spraying gas at the carjacker with the fuel hose as he jumps into the driver’s seat.

As the video shows, the suspect was able to start the car after a brief struggle and appears to drag the victim a few feet with the car while driving away from the pump.
Tewksbury police told The Boston Globe that the car — a red Mazda with New Jersey license plates — was located late Saturday night in Lowell, but that the suspect remained at large. K-9 units were conducting a search for the suspect on foot, police said.
