Fight brewing in East Bridgewater against a school for bullied kids

The 24 students of the Chapman Farm School attend class in a building in a Norwell industrial park now, but they’re hoping to move into new, more bucolic quarters in a renovated llama barn on 50 acres in East Bridgewater.

They may be waiting a while.

Their neighbors in East Bridgewater have sued to keep the school out, contending that the local Planning Board exceeded its authority when it gave permission for the school. The neighbors on Old Country Farm Road say the school, which caters to students who have been bullied or did poorly in larger settings, will cause traffic problems on their small dead-end street.
