With parts of New England buried under as much as 20 inches of snow, some residents are taking creative approaches to clearing out all the white stuff.
New Hampshire resident Eric Ratay shared a video of his wife, Leslie, snowblowing their family driveway in a T-Rex costume. The video went viral, garnering more than 1.7 million views and 30,000 shares on WCVB Channel 5’s Facebook page.
Leslie told Boston.com she is surprised by the response the video has gotten, considering it’s not the first time she’s sported the costume.
“That’s not abnormal for us. I’ve worn that thing all over the place,” she said.
After spotting the hilarious costume on Amazon, Leslie decided to buy it last summer. Recently, she wore the suit — which her sister has named “Mr. Sugar Bottoms” — to a NASCAR race.
Leslie said she decided to bring out the costume again on Tuesday to add some humor to her family’s snow day.
“We have five daughters, so a snow day isn’t always a day off for us,” she said. “So we were just kind of goofing around outside.”
