Search launched for new GM at the MBTA

Governor Charlie Baker announced that the MBTA will begin its search for a permanent leader of the agency, and seek to extend the fiscal and management control board for two more years.

In front of the city’s business leaders at a Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce breakfast on Thursday, Baker said Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollack has created a panel to advise the process, and will secure an executive search firm.
