Snow, rain will soak Pats fans at the parade
New England Patriots fans will cheer on their Super Bowl champs amidst snow during the Patriots’ Super Bowl victory parade. At least at first.
Parade goers and players will be enveloped in “big snow flakes” at the 11 a.m. start of the parade, but the snow will likely turn to rain by the end, said Bill Simpson at the National Weather Service in Taunton.
“It could go back and forth” Simpson said about the rain and snow, as the Patriots make their way up Boylston Street in duck boats.
The temperature in Boston ahead of the parade fluctuated between 33 and 34 degrees, Simpson said.
By 1 to 2 p.m., Simpson said the precipitation in Boston should turn entirely to rain.
Boston could receive 1 to 2 inches of snow total, he said.
