Suffolk staff get a surprise paycheck — but will have to give it back
After months of controversy last year during a power struggle between the board and president, Suffolk University had been more successful lately at keeping its head down and its name out of the newspapers.
But this week, the school found itself in a more routine, if nonetheless sticky, situation.
On Thursday the college accidentally issued direct-deposit paychecks to a number of employees, and then began to try to get the money back.
