Mourners gather for funeral of Falmouth crash’s second victim
Mourners gathered in Falmouth again Friday for the funeral of Owen Higgins, one of two Falmouth High School students who died as a result of a car crash on Dec. 22.
Higgins, 17, was a standout athlete at Falmouth High, the captain of the hockey team, and a state champion football player, according to friends and school officials. He and his best friend, James Lavin, 17, were making their way home from hockey practice last Thursday night when their car veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
