Last year, the Jesus was discovered on Lawrence Road by litter collectors, according to The Eagle-Tribune.
“We haven’t really ever encountered this problem all these years, and it seems like just the last couple of years,” Dave Wholley, deputy director of public works for Salem, told the Tribune. “I don’t know if we need to make him more theft proof or what, but we might need to consider strapping him down or something.”
