The elves are everywhere, it seems—even at the Massachusetts State Police barracks.
Santa sent Statie the Elf “to keep an eye on the Commonwealth,” according to the Massachusetts State Police.
Here is a photo of Statie and Santa after his arrival, which police posted to Facebook on Sunday.

Statie reported for his first day of work on Monday and dressed the part, sporting a blue police suit, badge, and a matching blue pointed hat.
But the mischievous elf has already gotten into a bit of trouble the first day on the job.
“Statie is sent out to clear snow off the cruisers, and instead we find him making snow angels … we may have to keep an eye on him,” police wrote.
