New Hampshire woman charged in connection with murder-for-hire plot
CLAREMONT, N.H. (AP) — Police say a New Hampshire woman has been arrested in connection with an investigation into a murder-for-hire plot.
Monique Earle, of Laconia, was arrested Wednesday in Claremont on a charge of felony solicitation to commit murder.
Claremont Police Chief Alexander Scott said Earle, who had been staying in a homeless shelter in town, had attempted to hire someone to kill her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend.
Investigators learned of the alleged plot Tuesday night and arrested the 20-year-old Earle with the help of the state and county authorities.
Earle was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer.
