More security sought at Mass. mosques after R.I. mosque receives threat
The Massachusetts chapter of a Muslim civil rights organization asked Wednesday for more police protection at area mosques after an Islamic center in Rhode Island received a letter calling Muslims “vile and filthy people” and declaring that President-elect Donald J. Trump will target them.
The request from the local branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said the letter mailed to Masjid Al-Kareem in Providence, R.I. should be investigated.
