Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze in an abandoned building on the McLean Hospital campus early Monday.
The fire was reported at 2:41 a.m., after a police officer saw the smoke, said Dan MacAuley, 911 operations manager at Belmont police.
The vacant building hasn’t been used in about 10 years, MacAuley said. There are no injuries, he said.
Firefighters were still at the scene at 7 a.m. Crews from Cambridge, Watertown, and Arlington responded as well.
MacAuley said the cause of the fire is unknown.
