18-year-old woman struck by car while crossing street in Dorchester
An 18-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was struck by a car Wednesday night while she was crossing a street in Dorchester.
State police said troopers responded to the scene on Gallivan Boulevard at Milton Avenue around 10:35 p.m., where the teen was found suffering from serious injuries. She was transported to Boston Medical Center for treatment.
The woman was crossing Gallivan to catch a bus after leaving a friend’s relative’s home when she was hit by a Pontiac GT driven by a 25-year-old man, according to police. The driver remained at the scene and his car was taken to a state police facility to be examined further.
