1 dead, 3 injured in multiple-vehicle crash in New Hampshire
One woman died and three others were injured as a result of a multiple-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday on Route 111 in Salem, New Hampshire, police said in a Facebook post.Around 4:39 p.m., police and firefighters responded to the intersection of Route 111 and Ermer Road for a report of a serious crash. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, according to police.A 2010 Honda Accord turned onto Route 111 and struck a 2015 Kia Optima traveling westbound, police said. This pushed the Kia into the eastbound lane, where it hit a 1993 Toyota Camry.One of the Toyota’s occupants, a 69-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The operator of the Toyota, a 58-year-old man, was medflighted to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.Police said the operator of the Kia was taken to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire, for treatment of serious injuries. The 45-year-old man operating the Honda was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.The names of the vehicles’ occupants have not been released.The crash remains under investigation.
