Pedestrian struck, killed by SUV while crossing street in Quincy
A man was killed Sunday night when he was struck by an SUV while crossing the street in Quincy, according to police.Quincy police said the man was crossing at the intersection of Hancock Street and Hollis Avenue when he was hit by an Acura SUV driven by a 32-year-old woman. The victim was later pronounced dead at Boston Medical Center.The initial investigation indicates the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and was not using the crosswalk or traffic signal at the time of the crash, according to police. “There is no indication of impairment of the operator, nor is there any indication of excessive speed,” police said.Police said the crash remains under investigation.
