3 pedestrians struck at Salem celebration; driver was allegedly drunk

An alleged drunk driver was arrested Sunday night on allegations of hitting and seriously injuring three pedestrians — including two children under 12 — around 8 p.m. Sunday during Salem’s Halloween celebration.

Salem Fire Deputy Chief Alan Dionne said it was “right in the heart of everything” amid crowds gathered to mark the holiday. One victim is an adult.
