Here’s what Mayor Walsh is handing out on Halloween
Mayor Marty Walsh laid out his stance on Halloween candy Friday during his monthly appearance on Boston Public Radio. The resident of Boston’s Lower Mills neighborhood told hosts Margery Eagan and Jim Braude he goes big when it comes to handing out treats, saying he gives out full-sized candy bars at his house. “This year we have Hershey’s, Kit Kats, and Twix,” he said. Why not hand out the typical bite-size treats?“Because the little kids will say, ‘the Mayor gave us these little candy bars’,” Walsh said. Excellent move, Mayor Walsh — be prepared for a line around the block.
