Man’s body found in South Boston Marine Park
State police are investigating after a man was found dead Wednesday morning in South Boston’s Marine Park.The Suffolk District Attorney’s office said the man, who was in his late 70s or 80s, has been identified but did not release his name. A passerby reported finding the body just after 7 a.m. near 1880 William J. Day Boulevard, authorities said. “Neither the man’s body nor the scene showed signs of violence or a struggle,” the DA’s office said in a statement. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of the man’s death, according the the DA’s office.
