Young people in Abington may find it hard to buy eggs or toilet paper this weekend.

The Abington Police Department has asked stores to refrain from selling the items to residents younger than 18 between Friday and Monday, reports The Enterprise.

The complete list of banned items includes toilet paper, soap, shaving cream, eggs, and spray paint — items routinely used in Halloween pranks.

The voluntary ban, which has been around for more than a decade, helps protect peoples’ property by deterring mischievous activity during Halloween, said Abington Police Chief David Majenski.

The ban will be in effect from Oct. 28 to Nov.1.
