Pedestrian struck and killed in Waltham crash identified

A pedestrian who was struck and killed in a Waltham crash Tuesday has been identified by authorities.

Gregory Dwyer, 65, of Watertown, was pronounced dead after being transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, the Middlesex District Attorney’s office said in a statement.

Around 6:51 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to Wyman Street in the area of the Hobbs Brook Office Park for a crash involving a Lexus SUV and two pedestrians.

The other victim, a 70-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries, authorities said. He remained in critical condition as of Tuesday evening.

The driver of the SUV was not injured during the crash and stayed on scene. The DA’s office said no charges have been filed, but the crash remains under investigation.
