Sanders to campaign for Democratic candidates in Vermont

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — Vermont U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders will campaign on behalf of Democratic candidates in the state with six planned events.

Sanders recently announced endorsements for gubernatorial candidate Sue Minter, fellow Sen. Patrick Leahy, U.S. Rep. Peter Welch and T.J. Donovan’s bid for attorney general.

The Times Argus reports that Sanders will hold the first event at 5 p.m. Friday at Vermont College of Fine Arts’ Alumni Hall in Montpelier.

A get-out-the-vote event is expected to take place in Addison County at 9 a.m. Saturday. Sanders will participate in rallies in Bennington and Rutland that are happening that same day.

Sanders will be at a rally in Burlington at 10 a.m. on Sunday. He will also be at a get-out-the-vote event at the St. Albans Museum at 4 p.m.
