Cintolo and Morris had remained at Massachusetts General Hospital, in “critical, but stable” condition, through the weekend.
The two officers were shot during a confrontation with 33-year-old Kirk Figueroa, after police said they responded to a report that the East Boston resident was threatening his roommate with a knife. Figueroa, who was reportedly armed with a shotgun and bulletproof vest, was killed in the firefight.
