Police make arrest after South End home invasion and sexual assault
Officials have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a home invasion and sexual assault of two people inside their apartment in the South End on Tuesday, according to Boston police.
Police arrested 52-year-old Ronald Brown, of Boston, in the South End just before 3 a.m. on Wednesday. Brown is facing charges of rape, home invasion, kidnapping, and indecent assault and battery.
According to police, Brown entered an apartment near Clarendon Street and Columbus Avenue through a rear window at about 4 a.m. on Tuesday.
“Once inside,” wrote police in a statement, “[The suspect] sexually assaulted both occupants of the residence.”
Brown then took off on foot down Clarendon Street, police said. Police said they discovered Brown after “an intensive coordinated effort.”
Brown will be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
