23-year-old man dies in two-car crash in Natick
A 23-year-old Waltham man died in a two-car crash in Natick on Tuesday, police said in a statement.Around 9 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Speen Street and Timber Lane for a report of a crash.A 2015 Subaru was traveling on Speen Street when it collided with a 2003 Acura TL, according to police. The Subaru then exited the road and hit a large tree.Police said the Subaru’s operator, the 23-year-old, was removed from the vehicle by two bystanders, before an officer began providing CPR using an automated external defibrillator. The man was then taken by ambulance to MetroWest Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.An 81-year-old Natick man who was driving the Acura was not injured in the crash, police said. His passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries.The crash remains under investigation by Natick police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
