Police issued an Amber Alert for Lenore “Lenny” Wilson Tuesday morning. Police said the girl was with 26-year-old Fatima L. Gissentaner, who goes by the nickname “China” and occasionally cares for the girl. Police have not said whether Gissentaner returned the child or if she is in custody.

The Augusta Fire Department responded to a medical emergency at 7 a.m. Tuesday. When officials arrived at the residence, it was discovered that Lenore was not where she was supposed to be, according to police.
Police and fire officials did an immediate search of the area while detectives began interviewing witnesses, police said.
When they spoke by phone, Gissentaner allegedly told police she was at the location of the medical emergency and “is now in the company of Lenore.”
During the alleged incident, Gissentaner was thought to possibly be with her boyfriend, who goes by the name “Dollar,” according to police. Both Gissentaner and her boyfriend are from New York.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Augusta police at 207-626-2370.
