Gay community’s longtime haven closing its doors in Lynn

It was one of the first gay bars in the state. On Sunday, it will be closing its doors for good.

The building that’s home to Fran’s Place in Lynn, which has been operated by Jay Collins’s family since the 1920s, is being sold.
