You have 10 days left to visit Route 1 Miniature Golf (and its giant orange dinosaur)
Route 1 Miniature Golf & Batting Cages will be closing its doors for good before the end of the month.
The venue, known for its iconic 12-foot orange dinosaur, was supposed to close for good in November 2015, but announced earlier in the year it would be back in business in April through the summer.
But now with the passing of the season, Diana Fay, the owner of Route 1 Miniature Golf & Batting Cages, told The Saugus Advertiser the last day the longtime family-run business will be open is September 25.
For those looking to get one more visit in before the closure, the fun-filled venue will be open from 3-8:30 p.m. during weekdays and from 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on weekends until the closure date.
Fay told the Advertiser she’s in negotiations with Essex Landing development to keep the north shore’s favorite dino on site, even after the property becomes a mixed-use development.
