70-year-old woman killed in Danvers car crash
A 70-year-old woman struck by a car on a Danvers street early Tuesday morning has died, authorities say.
Officials responded to the incident just before 7 a.m. The woman was taken to Beverly Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead, according to Danvers police.
Police say the driver of the car has been identified and is cooperating with the investigation.
Officials are withholding the victim’s name pending notification of kin. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
