Woman dies in single-vehicle crash in Concord

A woman died Saturday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Concord, police said in a statement Saturday.Around 7:28 a.m., officers responded to the area of 1800 Main St. for a report of a crash.A 1999 Toyota Camry, driven by a 59-year-old woman, was traveling eastbound on Main Street when it exited the road and crashed into a tree, according to police. Officers discovered the vehicle on arrival.The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, police said.The incident resulted in the closing of Main Street between Harrington Avenue and Forest Ridge Road from 7:30 to 11:15 a.m. Police said they don’t believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
