Man dies in construction accident in Boston
A man died Sunday in a construction accident involving a crane in the Longwood medical area, a Boston police spokesman said.
Around 1 p.m., officers and emergency personnel responded to the area of Shattuck and Binney streets for a report of an injury to a construction worker.
Officials located the worker, who was suffering from life-threatening injuries, and transported him to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The identity of the man involved has not been released, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation, according to police.
