Police: Tractor-trailer involved in fatal pedestrian crash in Milford
A pedestrian was struck and killed in Milford Thursday afternoon, and police believe a large tractor-trailer was involved.
Milford police wrote on Twitter that the person was hit near the intersection of Main and S. Bow streets at around 4 p.m.
Police were looking for a large tractor-trailer truck that they said was involved, the department wrote on Twitter at 5:14 p.m. Police said the truck might have been driving to Boston.
Less than an hour later, the driver of the truck turned himself in to the Massachusetts State Police barracks in Middleborough, police said.
Police did not identify the woman or say whether any charges have been filed.
