18-year-old man stabbed with golf club shaft during fight in Breakheart Reservation
A Beverly man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
An 18-year-old man was stabbed in the neck area with a golf club shaft Tuesday during a fight in Breakheart Reservation, state police said.Around 4:30 p.m., troopers and Wakefield police responded to a report of a fight in progress in the state park, located in Wakefield and Saugus. Officers said the injured man had been involved in a fight with another male who was known to him, according to Wakefield police. The victim was medflighted to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for treatment of life-threatening injuries, state police said in a statement.
Curtis Day, 18, of Beverly, was arrested in connection with the incident, according to state police. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
