2 children seriously injured in Mass. Pike rollover

An SUV was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday on the Mass. Pike in Natick that left two children, including a 6-month-old girl, seriously injured, state police said in a statement.Around 12:53 p.m., police responded to I-90 east near exit 13 for a report of a crash.A 2009 Range Rover was travelling eastbound in the right lane when, for unknown reasons, it rolled over into a ditch adjacent to the road, according to police.Two of the SUV’s five occupants, the 6-month-old and an 11-year-old girl, suffered serious injuries and were taken via medical helicopter to Tufts Medical Center, police said. Two adults and a third child were not injured.The crash resulted in the closure of all lanes of the Pike and ramps to exit 13 in both directions to allow for two medical helicopters to land, according to police. Traffic was allowed to pass through again after about 20 minutes.State police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
