Man dies in Sumner Tunnel crash
One man died and two other people were hospitalized following a crash in the Sumner Tunnel early Friday morning, according to state police.
The single-vehicle crash happened just after 3 a.m., police said. A 2002 Dodge Ram pickup truck lost control in the area of the ramp to I-93 northbound.
An adult male occupant of the pickup suffered fatal injuries. Two other occupants were hospitalized with injuries not believed to be life threatening, state police said.
The Sumner Tunnel and the I-93 ramp were closed for part of the early morning, but all lanes were reopened by 6 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
