Vermont police attempt to identify man found injured in quarry
Vermont police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who was found injured Wednesday in the parking lot of a quarry.
State police said the man exited a wooded area near the Rock of Ages quarry in Barre, Vermont, and was found unconscious with possible injuries. He was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Police said the man was unable to communicate with detectives at the hospital due to his medical condition and he had no identification on his person. Police believe him to be between the ages of 18 and 25.
“The male is described as a Caucasian male with dark colored hair and some facial hair, approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall weighing approximately 140 pounds,” state police said.
Anyone with knowledge of missing persons in Barre or Williamstown, Vermont, or any information about suspicious activity in the area of the Rock of Ages quarry, is asked to contact state police at 802-229-9191.
