Pedestrian injured in Bedford crash
A pedestrian was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a car in Bedford, police and fire officials said.
The crash was reported on Springs Road at around 3:30 p.m., the Bedford police and fire departments said in a joint statement.
The pedestrian struck was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, according to the statement. The driver stayed on scene.
State and Bedford police are investigating the incident. Officials closed Springs Road between Hillside Avenue and Page Road following the crash.
