1 pedestrian dead, 1 injured in private bus crash in East Boston
One pedestrian was killed and another one sent to the hospital early Sunday morning after a private bus hit them in East Boston, police said.
According to Boston police spokeswoman Myeshia Henderson, a call came in shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday reporting a crash at the corner of McClellan Highway and Addison Street.
One of the pedestrians was pronounced dead on the scene, the other taken away in an ambulance. Henderson did not know their condition. The identities of the pedestrians have not been released.
The driver of the bus is cooperating with police, Henderson said. As of Sunday morning, no charges had been filed.
