Toddler dies days after being hospitalized, authorities investigating
A toddler who was transported to a hospital Monday while being babysat at a Woburn home died Thursday night after spending three days in the hospital, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
DA spokeswoman Meghan Kelly confirmed that an ambulance was called to the Woburn home on Monday and took the toddler — a 15-month-old boy — to a local hospital. Kelly did not specify why the toddler needed to be hospitalized.
The infant was in the care of a family friend at the time, she said.
He was pronounced dead Thursday night at Boston Children’s Hospital, authorities said.
