6 rescued after their boat sinks in Dorchester Bay
A Coast Guard crew rescued six people whose boat had sunk in Dorchester Bay early Sunday morning, officials said.
Rescuers found the stranded boaters at around 1:50 a.m. in the water between Castle Island and Thompson Island, with the half-sunken vessel nearby, according to a statement from the Coast Guard.
They were taken back to a pier shortly after 2 a.m. and underwent medical evaluations. No one was injured, the Coast Guard said.
Investigators are working to figure out what caused the boat to sink.
