Quincy woman in critical condition a day after a car hit her in South Boston
A Quincy woman who was hit by a car while crossing a street in South Boston Saturday evening remained in critical condition Sunday afternoon, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The crash occurred around 7:50 p.m. on William J. Day Boulevard when a 75-year-old Randolph man traveling in the left lane struck the 45-year-old woman, police said. She sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Boston Medical Center, according to police.
The driver and two other passengers in his car were not injured in the crash, police said.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
