Coast Guard rescues sick woman from sailboat off Cape

A woman suffering from abdominal pains was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard near Cuttyhunk Island on Monday.

The woman and her husband were aboard a 46-foot sailboat off the Cape when the couple called for help around 7 p.m., according to the Coast Guard. A crew from Woods Hole responded to the boat and brought the woman back to shore where she was transported to an area hospital.

She is now in stable condition, according to the Coast Guard.
