Boston police recovered three loaded firearms and arrested three men and one juvenile Sunday in Roxbury, according to a statement by Boston police.

London Lee, 23, Jaquan McIver-Bennet, 20, Josiah Watkins, 19, and a 17-year-old male juvenile were placed into custody in the area of 64 McGreevey Way.

Around 1 a.m., officers on patrol in the Mission Hill area saw a group of men gathered in a parking lot. As officers approached to speak with the group, four of the men began to run away, police said in a statement.

Lee allegedly seemed to place a gun inside a gas grill behind a nearby home before continuing to run from the officers, police said. A loaded 9mm handgun was later recovered inside the grill, according to the statement.

McIver-Bennet, Watkins, and the juvenile allegedly ran towards Saint Alphonsus Street, cutting through a nearby college campus. Police said all four suspects were arrested after a long foot chase.

A K-9 unit then arrived on scene and K-9 Yogi recovered two other loaded firearms, a .22 caliber Beretta and a .380 caliber Cobra, behind 640 Huntington Ave, according to police.

Lee is facing charges of carrying a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and trespassing, while McIver-Bennet and Watkins will be charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and trespassing, according to the statement.

The juvenile suspect will face charges of delinquent to wit, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and trespassing, police said. All four suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
