Police looking for driver who fled after hitting teen on bike in East Bridgewater
Police are seeking the public’s help to find a driver who hit a teen bicyclist in East Bridgewater Monday evening before fleeing the scene.
The crash occurred just before 7:30 p.m. when a car’s side view mirror clipped a bicyclist riding against traffic on Washington Street, according to police. The bicyclist, a 17-year-old from East Bridgewater, was taken to Brockton Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
The car involved is believed to be a black two-door convertible, according to police. Police said the driver fled the scene by driving north toward Whitman.
