Additional human remains found at Everett site

More human remains were found Thursday at a National Grid site in Everett, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office.

State and Everett police are investigating the discovery of additional bones and clothing on the electric company’s Rover Street property. A woman’s skull was found on the same property on July 7.

A preliminary evaluation has led authorities to believe the remains belong to the same woman, the DA’s office said. She’s thought to have been between the ages of 26 and 52, according to authorities, and it’s approximated she had been dead between one and five years.

The DA’s office said the remains will be transported to the chief medical examiner’s office to determine forensically if they came from the same person.

Authorities estimate the woman was between 5-foot-1 and 5-foot-9. They also said they found evidence of a healed nose fracture, a medical plate between the knee and ankle that indicate a former break, and both tooth loss and dental work.

Police are still seeking the public’s help to identify the woman. Anyone with information that may be helpful to the investigation should contact state police at 781-897-6600 or Everett police at 617-394-2367.
