A Kendall Square complex is selling for $725 million

The One Kendall Square complex is expected to sell for one the highest prices ever seen for a large office building in the Boston area, according to The Boston Globe.

Alexandria Real Estate Equities, one of the biggest landlords in Kendall, has an agreement to buy One Kendall Square for $725 million, the Globe reports. The seller, DivcoWest, bought the complex two years ago for $394 million.

The nine building complex includes Kendall Square Cinema, restaurants like The Friendly Toast, Flat Top Johnny’s, and Cambridge Brewing Company, and numerous office buildings. Alexandria Real Estate Equities said it plans to add another building to the space, the Globe reports.
