Governor: Nothing taken during burglary at New Hampshire Statehouse
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Gov. Maggie Hassan says nothing was taken during a burglary at the Statehouse.
New Hampshire State Police say the burglary happened early Saturday and that they’re looking for a man in connection with it. They’ve released an image of a man wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
Hassan, Senate President Chuck Morse and Speaker Shawn Jasper issued a statement Saturday evening saying the Statehouse holds “numerous treasures that tell the story of our history as a state and as a people.” They say no items were taken but some damage was done during the burglary, none of it irreversible.
State police, members of the General Court Protective Services unit and Concord police are investigating.
