Great white shark rescued on Chatham beach last year returns to the Cape
Jamison, a great white shark who became stranded on a Chatham beach, has returned to Cape Cod almost a year after his dramatic rescue, according to a Facebook post by the Atlantic Great White Shark Conservancy on Wednesday.

Wednesday marked the one-year anniversary of the shark’s rescue, which involved beach-goers, Chatham Harbormasters, the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, and the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries.

The shark was tagged during the rescue and later given his name.
Jamison was detected in Cape Cod waters on a receiver off Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge on June 29.
The conservancy said they will continue to provide updates on Jamison throughout the summer. The organization also created a Twitter account for Jamison.
